Installation Notes
Gear Lever Assembly - Gear Load Cell - Reverse Lock Out Button
This component comes with two items pre installed. The button on the top of the gear lever is for your reverse solenoid. This operates via a 12vdc solenoid and enables the gear lock out function. A safety feature we add to all sequential gear systems that prevents neutral and reverse gear selection whilst on event or parked in the pit area and techs are working inside the car.
The second component pre installed is the Gear Load Cell, this delicate sensor must be treated with extreme care. Any strain applied to the wire can damage the sensor and make it unusable. Theses sensors are not serviceable and are an expensive item so please always secure during installation and removal. We provide the DTM plug and matting parts part number. Plug, Pin out and Colour Code.
NOTE - This sensor MUST be used to provide a "Closed Loop, Gear Function" If you are unsure of this process, seek professional help from a trusted and reputable ECU programmer. Getting a local programmer is always a good call as they can provide tech support and attend if required.
Speed Sensor -
Your gearbox has two speed sensors that can be optioned. We utilise input and output shaft speeds for input into your ECU or Dash of choice. The speed sensors are pre installed if optioned and are terminated with a DTM plug which neatly mounts to the provided gearbox bracket provided. We provide the DTM plug and matting parts, part number. Plug, Pin out and Colour Code.
Fluid Temp Sensor -
We install as standard on all gearboxes our Stainless Steel Fluid Temp Sensor. This comes pre terminated to a DTM plug which mounts neatly to the provided gearbox bracket provided. This Fluid Temp Sensor feeds your ECU or dash of choice. We provide the DTM plug and matting parts, part number. Plug, Pin out and Colour Code.
Rotary Position Sensor -
This Motorsports rotary contactless sensor is pre installed inside the gearbox. You will see a Motorsports Deutsch socket mounted on the Actuator housing. This 9 pin socket provides this Dual Channel sensors output to the ECU. This enables a single diirect feed to the ECU and a secondary feed for additional gear displays or Dash.
You will see the relevant wiring harness that has the matting plug. This provides a chassis loom for connection to your ECU. We supply all Deutsch Plug part numbers and pinout and colour codes.
